I was on www.Realtor.com and the appraisal search for my town revealed that A - I am not on the list but B - 2 dead men are.... go figure. One has been dead for several years - the other nearly 2.

Lotsa good your membership does you. Neither of the two above could possibly still be paying members.

I don't show up either.

My MLS leaves all old appraisers on the list in case someone runs accross their name on an old sale. There is a seperate catagory for non-active appraisers, though.

I didn't find the place to search for appraisers, but under "Find Home Values" it was nice to see my house increased by $200,000 in the past month or two. It might be time to sell!

My understanding is that is not what dues are for. What is important is if someone wants to spam you with CE course offers or tell you about their new listing they can always reach you. :)

I get tired of gettng those realtor to realtor emails. What a pain in the ***.

I found a way around that. I gave the MLS my wife's email and every so often I'll be sitting in the office and she'll say "Oh Jim, look at this one". She loves looking. She denies it, but she just can't help herself.

That goes thru our local MLS -

This is on the national site...they aren't email addresses just listings. I don't understand why we are not on it. Appraisers in our MLS have been paying state dues for 2 years as full bird members, and i carry a national card in my pocket.

Jim,

I should try that. My wife likes to read that stuff too.

Terrel,

I've got my realtor pin too!

Don't we feel important?

Like the old Mississippi boy strutting down the street said, "My doctor tells me, I ez impotent.."
