National Appraiser Boycott

This profession is too far gone to be trying to unify now. FannieMae has pushed us out and from what I've heard about their attitudes towards 3.6, it's obvious they're trying to get rid of us. I started another business in construction and look forward to the day I can tell Fannie to go shove it up their blow hole. I have a few lenders I'd like to exchange pleasantries with as well.

Other than that, put your head down, make as much money as you can and find something else to do or retire. Too many desperate appraisers out there without a business brain to make any changes. We get treated like peasants and peons, yet can make a doctor's salary. It's frustrated me for the 17 years I've been doing this, and I tell everyone who's asked me about appraising or said they want to be an appraiser, that they don't want any part of this mess.

Like the meme of george washington coming back, looking around, and wondering why we haven't started stacking bodies yet :rof:

If old George had been an appraiser, I think that's what he would be asking himself :rof:
If we're going to judge our forebears based on modern social norms that didn't apply to them in their own times then let's at least make an effort to draw our parallels a little closely to how they actually lived.

As I recall, GW was an owner up until the day he died. He wasn't even running sharecroppers, either. More similar to a regional AMC than a fee appraiser running around in a 200 mile radius and doing his own work.
