No Digitally Altered Photos?

Perhaps you're enamored by A.I. because its objective bent is similar to the human emotion of innocence. Yea sometimes I wonder whether Flower Power was as meaningful as it seemed then, whether Allison Krause [sp?] Died for a legitimate cause, or whether the entire era was actually a production orchestrated by Ginsberg and fueled by Professor Leary! Me, I was personally responsible for Nixons impeachment. I held my Caucasian fist high in support of black Olympians, and hitch hiked 10,000 miles hoping to emulate Jack now back home resting in Lowell. Never followed the Dead but what a long strange trip it has been. Indeed...
I've never read any of Jack Kerouac's books (because I never thought much of the "Flower culture" - although of course I liked the music), I did read some of Thomas Wolfe's novels 60+ years ago, "Look Homeward, Angel" and "Of Time and the River".

Apparently, Kerouac wrote in the same vein as Thomas Wolfe, whose books he had "studied." But, if I ever get time to read another novel, I'll probably just reread Wolfe.

My MLS just sent out an email that starting January 1, 2026, MLS photos that have been digitally altered must be labeled as such. This is a new California State law, AB723. Also, the original photo always has to be delivered with the digitally altered photo.

So, you can't even enhance contrast or brightness, correct color temperature and perspective, .... Yep.

Does this effectively prohibit altered photos? I am not sure. From what I have heard, potential buyers are NOT interested in looking at altered photos, believing they are just going to waste their time visiting the associated house.

This means having good real estate photography skills becomes more important, along with better lighting and camera equipment.

This gets back to stricter protocols for inspection:

1. Original photos only, unless there is a good reason (there can be).
2. Any necessary editing has to be documented - and the original photo has to be attached.
3. It makes sense to just take good photos in the first place.
Not sure why this matters at all. Since the day we dumped the 1 hour photo store for digital cameras, I've never altered a photo that was included in an appraisal report. It's never been a problem for anyone.

Contractor Uses AI to Fake Finished Work!
That contractor just posted a YouTube on why "not" to hire him. Obviously, he sells the homeowners to go with his company but, doesn't go out and manage his jobs or the subs that he has working for him.

Been noticing since we switched to an inferior MLS system, agents have been using a new feature that allows them to add a pretty fake fire in the fireplace on the MLS interior photos. The problem is, they are doing it to fireplaces that are no longer functional and just decorative which is common in many of the older homes where they haven't been used in decades and far from meeting code anyway. In this market, only the functional ones have any value but now they are making it more difficult to get everything accurate.

Make a quick 150 by conditioning the report Subject To remediation of the.potential safety hazard.posed by an open fire in an ornamental Fireplace!!!!
