Can I as an FHA AR sign an FHA appraisal for my non FHA trainee?

The answer my friend is in the 4150.2
I think the answer is no.

not totally sure, but I remember something like that, check with the lender

Doh!!!

Only the assigned FHA approved appraiser can complete and sign the report. It's in several HUD handbooks an FHA approved appraiser MUST be familiar with.

Oh damn, no trainees allowed. Appraisal & Inspection

"..... Appraisal trainees are not eligible to perform nor sign a FHA appraisal report."

But your trainee can assist and provide signficant professional assistance and thereby obtain experience hours. You just have to acknowledge the assistance in the report. That's in the 4150.2 also.
