My magical thinking?

:ROFLMAO:

You been drinking?

I posted the state web site.

You posted, you pay a lawyer a lot of money.

Go ahead and argue with the initial post that started the thread.

.

Ya mean...like NC is now doing by making it law? So, why is it OK for you to design a share model and not the State of NC? Or other states, who hopefully follow suit.

Well, I am glad you finally get it. And yes, they did have to pen legislation because prior to doing so there was none. And it was people like you and other BC companies who were trying to create and capture a specific market to capitalize on the fact that there were none.

Oh boy ... You think a state's role is to design private business' business plans? Why don't they just do the appraisals and eliminate appraisers. You do realize the NC hires a vendor to do their background checks right?

Apparently,

The amount of money you pay your lawyer, has not swayed North Carolina.

And I take it from your outrage that they failed to notify you they were going to directly compete with you for business.

Ghee,

I wonder if their background check will be cheaper than yours.

I bet it will carry more weight though.

.

Terrel, you can but if you read the disclaimers they say you must have permission or the orderer is violating FCRA. You can also order one without a social security number but they are not very reliable.
Exactly, what good is a very unreliable background check? Oh wait, that is the essence of JT, selling unreliable stuff to people needing a fast and cheap solution instead of a reliable, thorough and properly vetted appraiser check before approval on a trusted appraiser panel.

I doubt it is the first or last time a state law is in conflict with federal law and impossible to enforce.

Post the Federal Law,

Least I will have to call you names.

Righto. Cant stop a Lender from ordering a BC on anyone. Albeit a useless one.

background checks are incredibly unreliable if you have a very common name. That is true of credit reports too. And frankly any public record search. I order w credit report every year . And every year I clean up stuff that isn't mine.

Yes they even have a right to order a useless one but I guess useless is in the eye of the beholder.

Tell that to Oregon, Colorado and California.
