Years ago when I was a Valuation Specialist (now limited) I was submitting for certified (prior to general and residential). Literally had the package to go out, they changed the requirement that you needed 30 months of experience...I had 22 months. Changed the box to read Licensed from certified...took me another 1 1/2 year before I could resub,it again.

I empathize with you...but I have a feeling you may be SOL.

update:

After contacting my state representative with some concerns about the criteria qualifications, I did get that phone call from the DLEG late this afternoon stating that a letter from the AQB clarified that education taken prior to Jan 1, 2008 is acceptable.

All is good in la la land. :Eyecrazy:

Friendbrook,

glad to hear it.

Just as a follow up, this is an excert from a letter I received today from the President of Middleton Training in Southfield...

Also, the State has reconsidered an interpretation of the AQB law. It was originally interpreted that when a licensee upgraded to a new level, that any class taken to obtain a previous level license could not be used again for the new level License. Due to great endurance and persistence on part of some of our students, as well as some influence on my part, the AQB has contacted our department and the Department has decided that they have misinterpreted the language of the AQB, and students will be able to use previously taken courses that were "AQB approved and required" to later upgrade to a new license!!! Whew!!!

Thank You for sharing - I was referenced to that same letter from the DLEG.. Good for those involved to know now! Will take some time to iron out the wrinkles indeed.

Now to take the exam -- income approach here I come!
