And one last subject...Mike Kennedy is probably interested in this one.
NY appears to be stepping up enforcement; the Board quizzed Ernest on this. The number of complaints appears to be up, though the numbers, IMHO, aren't enough. I'm going to be sending several in, all of which are egregious in nature. I encourage others that have such reports to send them in. NY allows anonymous submissions is you wish. PM me for contact info if you need it.
It's important to remember that the DOS only deals with licensing. The worst thing that they can do is revoke a license for a year (though they could also deny a new license upon review). For certain cases, such as patterns of fraud, they may forward these reports to the AG's office. The AG may or may not decide to look into the matter further.
David... thanks for the birthday present...which I obviously........missed..... realllllly appreciate your review of the meeting.
For many folks, including all NY Consumers.....the "worst thing they can do" is actually the "best thing".
