Our great Gov Newsom proposed giving each car owner $400 up to 2 cars. I'll be getting $800 not counting my wife.
Before, the progressive Democrats wanted to give $400 refund checks to the poor in the state. I was getting nothing.
Because of the high oil prices, I'm getting money. Thanks.

Like it is free :rof: The money is coming out of you and your children's pockets...or will you all just move to Texas? Maybe those homeless people sleeping on your commercial property will take up a "gofundme" site to pay for it.

So they will just tax you in other ways or get money from the federal government that $800 is probably costing $1200-$1600 in taxes. If you send me $2,000 I'd be happy to give you $1,000 for gas.

The Saudi's won't return Biden's phonecalls. They are sick of being vilified when oil is plentiful then having us grovel on our knees begging for more oil.

The fact is that oil is here to stay for decades to come. We are not going all electric in 2030, 2035, nor even 2050. We will need oil in the 22nd century.

  • Al-Mazrouei: I think in COP 26 all the producers felt they were uninvited and unwanted but now we are again superheroes.
  • The oil and gas industry needs long-term planning and investments every year despite the global push for renewables.
  • Al-Mazrouei: politics around sanctioned countries should not interfere with OPEC's broader mission.

  • Al-Mazrouei also called on the financial and analytical institutions, such as the International Energy Agency, to adopt “realistic perspectives on long-term investment in oil and gas and recognize the needs of global consumers who need affordable energy and commodities.

FYI - if you don't know what COP 26 was that Al-Mazrouei mentioned it was the UN climate conference last fall in Glascow, Scotland where the big shots flew in with their 200 gallon per HOUR fuel consuming jets to discuss climate change and how the little people need to stop using oil...

After dipping below $100/bbl WTI is back on the rise - so much for the Biden announcement. Meanwhile record electric prices in France

(from Oilprice.com)

A cold snap swept across France Monday morning, forcing the country's electricity grid manager to request businesses and households to reduce power consumption as energy prices spiked. This is happening as half of the country's nuclear reactors are offline, ...
The fragility of Europe's power grid is on full display today, even as spring arrives. French power prices spiked to 3,000 euros, a 13-year high, due to an increase in heating demand as grid operator RTE requested households and businesses to reduce energy-intensive devices. For some context, France's primary power source is nuclear, contributing at least 70% of total production.
France and other European countries have been struggling with an energy crisis that appears to be continuing and may last through summer as energy supplies from Russia decline.
