Oil Price Increases After Biden Shuts Down Drilling Permits Again

Oil prices at around $94/barrel. Can't believe prices have fallen so fast.
Where have you been, prices were $88 a bbl last week. And Brent (North Sea) is almost $100...and Shell just shut down 3 Gulf platforms after suspecting a leak in a pipeline. Also, Europe's economy is having issues with a quarter Trillion Euro dent in their economy. Winter there is going to be bad. In relative terms, it makes the dollar stronger, hence the price of oil weaker. If the dollar was as weak as the Euro, oil prices would be even higher.

Chances are we are in a trading range - subject to any shortfalls, and geo-politicals over the background of the weather - a cold winter will be disastrous for Europe especially.

Crude oil inventories in the United States are 5% below the five-year average, with crude oil production in the United States failing to return to pre-Covid levels.
If you'd like to rent a tanker .... $57,000 PER DAY and that's the mid-sized tankers. 12x the cost of January 1.

Which is why they can sell out and arbitrage that cash into a far bigger newer house in Fly-over America, then commit themselves to a life of transforming that area into the same sort of ****hole they left in CA.
CA, land of building wealth and spreading its wealth throughout US. Nation must be happy with the CA spillover wealth effect.

Oil prices, I have observed correlates with how the economy does. When economy is doing well, it goes up. This year, I would think it would keep going up with Putin having a major influence but when the free capital market gets hurt, oil is "forced" to go back down. It's a normal business cycle.

You can't have everything but y'all accept the wealth.
Californians make us no money. They overpay for property because it is so cheap. So unless you are a broker seeking suckers from CA, they only raise your property taxes then spend all their time trying to get the county to regulate everything "like in California" to zone everything, and do so driving up the taxes and costs to the rest of us. Like Flint Rasmussen said, "Build the wall. Build it around Montana and keep the Californians out."

When real estate prices go up, the counties here get more windfall revenue from higher property taxes. I assume it's the same in your county so increased property taxes help your local revenues.

Which is stolen by crooks, wasted by schools who have to spend the money or lose it, and squandered on voter blocs. The chug holes are there. And I have a trashed out road that they have wasted tens of thousands of dollars "fixing" every spring when it rains. A permanent fix? nope nope nope cannot do that. The last time I called them about it, they said they would come by and talk to me about it. They didn't and never will. The Walton side of the county gets all the money.

They "repaired" this and 3 weeks later... (look west above, look east below) Washed the damaged whistle out of the road and its still there - junk. The gravel they have brought in over the years has filled my neighbor's field for 100 yd.
