themes of the Wild West, snake oil's n such, the writings and thoughts of many - only to describe a situation that will not improve. everytime, USPAP applies some new fangled wording, we come up with pages of how it should be re-written, which in essence gives them further understanding of what they're not to do.

after all ifn we all understood what they meant, how could it be a living; breathing document filled with misunderstood interpretations, written by people who need to be misunderstood, so that the true meaning of a living; breathing document would then die ? I think not to many unemployed people right now, plus the loss of revenue generated by us all - when you want stability within, you must create an unstable situation, USPAP provides what is needed.

instructors certified; a prime example of why "Education & Degrees" prove very little in our industry with regards to improvement of it.

Tom; pre-judgemint of a report - what a concept B) any bias there

Tom,
I would say you are correct in your reading. Some say truth has a ring or clarity to it. Obfuscation also has its own, but dischordant, sound.

You example that some statements are not "definitive" (or unequivocal, when they should be) is a good one. You are going to the difference between "the truth" and "the whole truth." Often an obfuscator cannot be completely forthcoming about the true relationship among the parts and the whole, without revealing the crititcal piece of information that proves their own theory wrong.

Nice catch Tom & Steven. I never really thought about that, but now that I do, I can see it. Interesting and something I'll be watching from now on. Doing a lot of reviews would really bring that to your attention.
