PCV Murcor - STEALING MY FEE

Status
Not open for further replies.
No one is "stealing" your fee.

You set up the agreement with the client prior to doing the work.

Great minds think alike, I see. :clapping: I was just pm'ing another forum member about the very same thing.
The irony is just too good, using REO income from one beast to profit from REO opportunities created by yet another one. There has to be a pale rider somewhere in the midst of it all. :)

Sounds like both borrower and the AMC are scumbags...live and learn. Being the impatient man i am if i had been stiffed deliberately by the HO, I would have went home and said nothing to either one....let them scream.

Ditto. I would have demanded addtional time for the "complex issues" in regards to the subject etc.....they never would have gotten a thing from me but not after I let them twist in the wind for a week or so. F them.

***UPDATE***

"If I pay you the additional $50.00, this will hurt our working relationship. Do you want to be removed from the appraiser panel?"

What relationship? you were used. Why you would want to continue the so-called "relationship" is beyond me. Dump em.

I just do not understand. The day that they cheated me out of my fee would be the day I was removed from their panel. It would be me doing the removing! Why would anyone work for a company like this?

AMCs cannot manage appraisers if they do not have any! :new_2gunsfiring_v1:

"AMCs cannot manage appraisers if they do not have any!"

I wish all appraisers would come together for this very purpose!

***UPDATE***

I requested correct payment for the services provided. Their response: "If I pay you the additional $50.00, this will hurt our working relationship. Do you want to be removed from the appraiser panel?" I said, "pay me what is rightfully owed!"

ahhh....

They just violated HVCC:

Home Valuation Code of Conduct
I. Appraiser Independence Safeguards

B. No employee, director, officer, or agent of the lender, or any other third party acting as joint venture partner, independent contractor, appraisal company, appraisal management company, or partner on behalf of the lender, shall influence or attempt to influence the development, reporting, result, or review of an appraisal through coercion, extortion, collusion, compensation, inducement, intimidation, bribery, or in any other manner including but not limited to:

(8) allowing the removal of an appraiser from a list of qualified appraisers, or the addition of an appraiser to an exclusionary list of disapproved appraisers, used by any entity, without prompt written notice to such appraiser, which notice shall include written evidence of the appraiser’s illegal conduct, a violation of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) or state licensing standards, substandard performance, improper or unprofessional behavior or other substantive reason for removal (except that this prohibition will not preclude the management of appraiser lists for bona fide administrative reasons based on written, management-approved policies);

Not wanting to pay your fees is not a substantive reason for removal.

Here's a tidbit that may even make your stomach acid increase.

Freddie Mac contract renewal announcement:

Note the name and designations in the second paragraph. This is a designated appraiser doing this to his own industry.

Lets put the hurt on their working relationship. Here is the Freddie Mac HVCC complaint form:

I did! Their excuse was: "we increased the overall cost of the report to include the additional fee. We cancelled the report; so there is no additional fee now. Just the trip fee we calculated based on our policy" Oh...here's $5.00 for the effort. NEXT?!

I don't want anyone to misunderstand; I assume full responsibility. This is caused by not requiring signed agreements regarding trip fees. I've never INVOICED companies with such pitiful business practice. Yes, lesson learned!

Hey PCV is based in California, is there a State AMC law with a hotline that we can complain to?

AMCs must now be registered with the Office of Real Estate Appraisers (OREA). Go to their website at www.orea.ca.gov . I think that the answer is there.

***THIRD UPDATE***

Just received email terminating my services -

"Based on our recent conversation and along with your unsatisfactory performance (correction rate of 53%) PCV has decided to remove you from our panel. In the past your attitude towards PCV employees has been argumentative when pertaining to policies and procedures. PCV thanks you for the work you have completed with us over the years."

53%?!?!? Ya right! hahahahahahahah.... Every time those moron reviewers call, they get overturned! So, "their" difference in opinion of the subject property defines my lack of quality! :rof: Thank god I’m finished with these people!

They know what they're doing. I know what she said on the phone and she knows it too. Joke's on me.... for now. But, I'll have the last laugh. :new_smile-l:
