Photos Missing From My Android Or From Google Photos...

I would think Google photos would have them or on the op's computer that he loads them on.

Those laptops they have at the apple store run a program on the phone that diagnoses everything on the phone. Then they can do things on an Iphone that I can't do.

If the pictures are on the phone at the apple store and the phone is working, they can find the pictures at the apple store.

I don't know if I told this story yet but 2-3 weeks ago, I was working in the yard and accidentally ran over my phone. It cracked the screen and phone was still working. I have an Iphone 14 pro. So I go to that big Apple store in Germantown and say I just want to get a new phone instead of fixing to repair it. So they run diagnostics on my phone and say okay. We can replace your screen for like $400., I did not have insurance on the phone. I thought I did and they told me I did when I bought it but it ran out. I was like okay, why didn't you tell me it ran out.

Well, we apologize but apple has changed their policy and we don't do that anymore unless you cancel it. Okay, give me a new Iphone 16. They transfer all my data onto the iphone 16 and I go home. I can't remember how much the iphone 16 was but they did give me a credit on it. It was going to be way more than $400 and they would tie me in a contract for another 3 years. I had to pay the balance off on my iphone 14 before they would even do the iphone 16 and give me like a $1,000 credit. I would have had 36 more months on the iphone 16.

I callled around got prices for after market screen for around $150 and I got one phone specialist that would replace the screen with original equipment for $300.

So, I go next morning. This tech was done in like 30 minutes replacing my screen and I go back to the apple store and say I changed my mind. I had 14 days to change my mind.

They transfer it all back to my repaired phone.

I asked about insurance on the iphone 14 now since they didn't tell me my iphone 14 insurance expired. They say let me check. They said no since you had someone else do it. I had already transferred everything with my phone carrier which is ATT. So the lady at Apple store said we can't but ATT can. The lady at apple said our monthly insurance is less expensive but we usually repair the phone here and if you get your insurance with ATT they usually just give you a new phone if something like this happens.

Went to ATT store real close and they transferred everything back on my account and I got insurance on it.

Bottom line is it cost me $300. But that apple store knows their phones very well and they fix them in the back of the store. That place is always packed with customers with laptops etc. They have to start signing people in every morning. They have good customer service.

I think they sell androids there also. I wouldn't swear to it. But they might could find your pictures on it.

If you take your galaxy into a store that can run diagnostics on the phone, they will know if there anything wrong with the camera on the galaxy. They will know if the phone is broke in any way.

Galaxy A15? I'm surprised the thing hasn't exploded with 400 photos on it....get a real phone if you're going to do serious business with it.
I hate to admit it, but iPhones are just better in terms of software and hardware that's well integrated. Everything just works.

Neither apple nor android make it easy to transfer photos outside their infrastructure tho and prefer to push you to cloud. It's been a PITA forever.

I use an app called KDEconnect. Works cross platform and easily moves pics from phones/tablet/cameras to your computer.

It's pretty easy to go to photos in your browser and download the photos.

Especially for the cameras. Pixels are just the right size, cameras are amazing, and the OS is fast. Love Pixels - just not the price...

Pricing is not bad if you don't get the newest model. I've been using them since the first one and I don't think I ever paid more than $500. $350 if on sale.

Using the 5 now. I'm cheap - $200 is a lot of money for me to spend on a phone... :ROFLMAO:
