If he times it right and there's another massive hurricane the kids might get to go to Duke instead of a state school.

My brother in law just graduated from Duke. Die hard Tarheel fan....hated Duke all of his life. God spoke to him (he is in his 40's) and he got a free ride to Duke seminary. His head and ego grew 10 fold. Now he wears nothing but dark blue?? I told my kids they are going to a in-state school..if not they will flip the bill...App state would be nice, but a lot of hippie fruit cakes LOL. I'm a mountain guy myself...it breaths freedom.

PS, Don't tell my kids but I told them I am not paying for anything. They would have to get student loans...on graduation day, i'll pay off the student loan. Maybe it will keep them humble and learn a lesson.

As for the trees. I purchased the land in 1994 and thought the harvest date would be in 30-35 years. Professionally managed throughout the years. I get +-$11,00 a year just from the pine needles. Pays taxes, maintenance, etc.

I assume they serve drinks?
:) I've been on a cruise. It can be hard work. Interesting though. One way is to pick representative lines out and walk straight counting and measuring diameters and species as you go. A tree farm is much easier to estimate.

Is that $1,100 or $11,000? And who does what with all the fallen pine needles? I have no idea. Mulch?

Also, If a man is alone in the forest speaking, and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong? :peace:
