I had a 73 911S with the targa top, bright red. I drove it to Mardi Gras in 1985. I got pulled over by some Bubba sheriff in BFE Louisiana for an "unsafe lane change". He was going to strip search my car. It cost me $1500 to get out of that one. It was his dream, a bright red Porsche with California plates. The rules for the drive was to avoid interstates as much as possible, so we spent a lot of time on two lane roads. No interstates, no chain food. It was quite a trip.
