Private Appraisals and Websites

I just recently had my website redone, in hopes to get more local private business. Do you think my website does the trick or should I change anything?

It's clean. You need a blog with a couple of stories about clients you helped or difficult appraisals you got through and "saved the day" ... include "divorce" if you want divorce clients, etc.

Add an RSS feed from a real estate site which auto loads into your website - and blog monthly at least to keep the Google algorithm happy with your site.

Your website seems like okay, the footer space needs to be reduced, it occupy full screen on laptop view, but your website standalone cant generate you business unless you invest its marketing including SEO , Google Ads and Social Media

.Listen to this ↑ man and don't forget to make a Google Business Profile and get 10 5 star reviews from any past client. The phone will ring and it's free!

Yes, this! GBP is low hanging fruit that any appraiser seeking private work needs. I wrote up a guide last year on how to set this up:

I do not personally use a website ( I stick to lender work; I do a few private referral appraisals a year)

Here are my comments from the POV of a consumer, an appraiser, and a person who dabbles in creative writing.

Your site looks very professional. Perhaps you could make your veteran status more visible with a Coast Guard symbol or small flag in the corner. The explanation of the appraisal services is wordy. People have short attention spans these days. Use bullet points in bold before each sentence and try to condense the explanation.

Play on your name - show some personaltliy to stand out. For example - Wulf Appraials As pack leaders, a deliver a howling great job!

IDK if alphabet ranking matters, but Wulf is far down the alphabet. Maybe make it A-Wulf Appraisals (if having an A in front means people find you faster, if it matters). Overall, it's a good site, though!

If your a Veteran or especially a Disabled Veteran you can get hooked up with Fannie Mae as a Collateral Appraiser Vendor. They have a federal mandate that requires it

Here is how

My Business card that I gave to anybody and everybody helped a lot in securing non-lender work aka Pvt work. Cards are cheap. I gave then out to anybody who would take it.
I left a business card at every house I appraised. well almost every house. Realtors give their cards out to everybody they meet.
