Nicole Gueron, the representative of The New York Attorney General office was curious why Naifa and others were against the ban on mortgage broker ordering appraisals. Her curiosity makes me think that may be Mr. Cuomo was not aware of the AMCs business practice and their treatments of appraisers when he was negotiating the HVCC agreement. Now that the professionals inform him about the shortcoming of the agreement, there should be no excuse for him to ignore that problem if he is really serious about the effectiveness of the HVCC. Lets give him the benefit of the doubt that he is serious with a good intention and now is aware of the flaw in the current agreement and is going to revise it. In any case, we are going to find out sooner or later.

How could he not know? Wasn't LSI and eAppraiseIT part of his investigation? The HVCC also prevents lenders from owning more than 20%(I think) of an AMC. Obviously, he's aware of something going on with AMC's. Why then would he not be aware of the problem we he shackled us into slavery?

I'm wondering if the key to the HVCC and the wool pulled over Cuomo's office heads is all answered by finding out WHO was on the 'committee' that wrote it.
It is kind of obvious there was an agenda being pushed.
