I would second Mr Raney's remarks with a capital FUNDING. We need FUNDING.
So, do you support increasing licensing fees? As more and more licensees leave the industry it will become worse for available funds. In CA they kept the renewal fees the same but DECREASED the term of the license from 4 years to two years....effectively DOUBLING the renewal fee. OREA is under the auspices of the California Department of Transportation. Odd, is it not? That agency, itself, is under funded. I think it should be part of the agency that oversees barbers, hair dressers, toes and finger nails. That's called the Board of Cosmetology. Cosmetics seem like a fitting overseer! More so than the Department of Transportation.
In reality, it should be subsidized by the Departments of real estate and banking, since they make most of the rules anyway.
