The interesting time are just beginning!

The mantra of "Less Government" sounds good. Its when the rubber meets the road of the reductions that the fun begins.

A reduction in the government programs will remove the illusion and expose the size of the financial crevase that has grown between the general public and the very rich and the huge corporations.

For those on this forum who have been advocating stocking up on ammo, I think that the time is coming, but not for the reasons that you thunk.

Hey Karl, no offense, but shut up. I donated 500 dollars to Bielats Campaign, and it's not even my district. I also actively campaigned for Jeff Perry, and donated to Baker. Don't you stereotype me a moonbat, you should know me better.

Here, I'll loosely define myself for you, if you can't figure it out: Conservative on Financial issues, Libertarian on Social issues.

Anon,

The topic here is related to monetary policy. Take a look at the You Tube video I posted. I looked at most of it and he seems calm and rational and he is extraordinarily well versed on monetary policy. What is your comment on his monetary views?

He was once advocating for the gold standard at one point. He is more libertarian on financial issues than I prefer. His foreign policy is scary, btw, as are "National Security" ideas.

And Karl, you know I have a sense of humor (i do read your emails after all!)

Maximum Wacko

I once saw Mr. Paul, in a televised interview, accuse Abraham Lincoln of starting the Civil War. And that he did it for personal financial gain. I have to say, until I saw that, I was under the impression that he was intelligent. I should have known better.

He's pushing for a full audit, including subponea with docs, from the Fed. As 320 representatives signed before the election, there will probably be even more support for a full audit of the Fed.

IMO, it's way past time to see who's doing what over there. Who gets the money? Where is the money going to? Who is profiting (it's sure not the Treasury)?

I followed his whole 2008 campaign.... what you describe is not uncommon for the man.

This is a fine idea.

Much of his foreign policy is just consistent with his libertarian views, if we really want to balance the books, we have to get out of the world's policeman business. This will be the big clash within the Republican party between the neo-cons and the tea partyers. Downsizing the government to balance the books will need big changes to the current foreign policy as well, good riddance...
