Ron Paul slated to chair the Monetary Policy Subcommittee

Much of his foreign policy is just consistent with his libertarian views, if we really want to balance the books, we have to get out of the world's policeman business. This will be the big clash within the Republican party between the neo-cons and the tea partyers. Downsizing the government to balance the books will need big changes to the current foreign policy as well, good riddance...

If one thinks that banks have a lot of clout, wait until the military industrial complex gets ****ed off. Try to cut back on that spending and see what happens.

I like Ron Paul and am glad he got elected. Anyone is an improvement to Chris Dodd and Barney Frank.

He's pushing for a full audit, including subponea with docs, from the Fed. As 320 representatives signed before the election, there will probably be even more support for a full audit of the Fed.

IMO, it's way past time to see who's doing what over there. Who gets the money? Where is the money going to? Who is profiting (it's sure not the Treasury)?
I wish him the best of luck, they will block him every which way they can.

Ron Paul is the only house member with the cajones to take on the military industrial complex. Look at what happens when he speaks about bringing our troops home and cease being the world's police force. The Pentagon fat cats go ballistic when he broaches the subject. Paul has as many enemies in the GOP camp as he does on the Dem side.

As far as him being a kook, I wish we had a few hundred more kooks like him in the house. Look up his bio, he does have some creepy things in his past. He was born in the US, he never drowned anyone and never raped anyone, I guess he never will make it to the oval office. He has 5 children, all born in wedlock and has been married to the same woman for over 50 years, what a monster!

Maybe he can find the

26 million that was given to Freddie Mac to form the infamous IVPI.

Would be fun to see what they actually spent that money on.

.

How about he takes on the Welfare Public Complex first? How about we leave our country-saving military industry alone?

What "country-saving military industry" are you talking about. We spend almost as much on our military as the rest of the world - combined! Most of it borrowed. There is a huge amount of money which could be saved by paring back the defense budget and actually organizing the US military to fulfill its actual purpose of defending the US from foreign invasion. Not to mention the fact that we are slitting our own throats economically by providing for the virtually risk free transportation of natural resources and manufactured goods around the world. Could China or India produce their goods and ship them here at such low prices if their economies were taxed to provide security at the levels we are?
