Yeah, I hear you. That's exaclty the attitude that would be expressed by many - see my previous post re: "screaming like mashed cats." And you'd hear every reason in the world from folks who got caught with their pants down why they shouldn't be held to the same standards as everyone else.

Personally, I'm working on my SRA. I used to be an associate member of the AIREA/SRA - I earned ALL my experience and education credit decades ago and I even wrote a demo that is still in rough draft form. Note to SRAs: yes it was a truly religious experience.
But...you see, since '82 when I started in this business I've had "issues." Wife, kids, house, work, baseball dad, football dad, like to eat, drink, travel, fish, play guitar and on and on and EVERYONE should cut ME some slack. I expect I'll get that SRA someday, after someone or something lights a fire under my backside.
Bottom line - the AQB set new requirements. The Licensed category license remains a work-around those guidelines. The barn door is closing.
