For those who do their own taxes, it shouldn't be to hard sending out the 1099s, right?
I'm tired of my accountant charging me hundreds of dollars to do them. She keeps increasing the fees over 10% each year for past several years.
I'm a college graduate and I think I can do it.
My wife said I'll screw it up.
It looks so easy even a Fernando can do it for next year, right?

Not hard, but I only have 6 to do :)

If you are sending those out for your appraisal "runners", don't forget to attach the required ANSI Compliance Certificate.

Thanks for reminding me to put that darn ANSI statement in my report. Almost forgot about it.
Another thing to remember with all these Fannie demands. Ugh.

Did my own 1099s for years. No problemo. New accountant does them for $75 a year...

Listen to the wife.......

My accountant charges $250. Last year was $225. That's higher than inflation.
I'm afraid if I do 1099s myself, accountant will charge even higher fee to complete my tax returns.

When you drive up in a Tesla....you announce you have money. It's like having "sucker" stamped on your forehead.

Find another accountant, drive up in the daughter's banged up, don't know how to drive mobile..
Get you taxes done there.

Accountant knows I have money and charges up every year.
I hate to change accountants since CPA been working on my taxes for long time.
Every year, I say to myself "I think I can do it" because of the increased fees. Then I say that again next year.:cautious:
