I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this AMC? I've received several calls to join its panel. I've been a staff appraiser for several years and feel my AMC employer is trying to control my every move. Is that the order of the day or can you still just do an appraisal and get paid? I'm thinking about going out on my own.

Sounds like you've been out of touch for a bit, since 2008 ??

I've always liked working with ServiceLink. Quote a fee and turn time. Do job adequately. Get paid. Seems like they take a bit longer to pay but it's not more than 30 days or so.

Not a lot off fussing around from them. The lender may want extras but the AMC itself usually defers to me.

Not a good experience for me. Was a top appraiser for them but they kept switching out managers for my region. While one would send over tons of work another would not assign me any. Roller coaster for a few years until I finally had enough. After about a year or so of no business they sent me an email wanting me to pay for my background check. Good Riddance.

I had to submit to a screening or background check. I don't recall having to pay for it though. That would have been a non-starter for me.

There are a lot of past threads and posts on them.

Thank you for your excellent reply!

Yep. I'd also try to get started with AMCs by quick turn-time but, then they only called me for emergencies. Do you think there is a way to keep your reputation intact?
