Sick to my stomach but fired AMC

For Carol's benefit....is there a specific mention in HR4173 that tells her former client, the bank, that they do NOT need to go thru an AMC anymore ??

It is in HVCC and they never HAD to go through an AMC, just have some person or persons acting as interface that are not directly involved in the loan process. Could be they hire somebody or somebody takes on extra responsibility.

What's the problem?

The banks know this, they like the AMC MODEL. We don't. Apparently they are making us pay now for what they "think" we did. (Not all appraisers were bad and not all loan offices were bad either.) The interest rates are going lower because no one wants to refi. No one with the perfect credit score and 20% down want to buy lately either. No business - so at some point they will lower interest rates to try to get new work. They need to keep the pipeline flowing. Eventually, some sort of normal will come back. We may all be living in our vehicles by then but they do not care. Write to your congressman, and senators, and which ever group you belong in as that is what is available to fight with.

i had a two paragraph "stip" friday wanting me to explain the difference between a stoop and a porch, why no adjustment for cvd vs uncoverd patio, detailed proof of howi derived my sf adjustment, and explanation of why my MLS does not allow retrospective active listing search. i got so mad. i emailed back said i had 72 hour turn time on unreasonable stips.. turned off my computer and quit for the day. cant work for the bs. im about to refuse to do this mess unless lender requested.

They obviously forgot that this a Summary Appraisal. Sounds to me like what they really want is a Narrative for the price of a Summary. By its very definition, detailed explanation of how things like sf adjustment is derived is not required in this report. Good luck.
