Sketch and map visually poor

I use ACI Sketch, not Apex, and I've never had any problems. BTW, when the ACI file is transferred into pdf format by MISMO there is a slight loss of sharpness overall. So long as your clients are not complaining I wouldn't worry about it.

This is how ACI tech support put the settings on my computer.

Templates: Always us a template, however no maps, sketch, or images would be in the report until added.

So is it safe to assume that I am unique in the issue? Does your apex sketch have the same crispness of lines and fonts when extracted to the report? sniped an example of how mine looks below, some end up looking worse than this example. They always look perfect in Apex.

The sketch looks fine to me. Try copying the Apex sketch to the clipboard and inserting it into the sketch cell in ACI to see if that improves the image quality. But again, to my eye, that looks fine.

Although I don't use ACI It looks like this apex output is somehow being set to your screen resolution rather than the native export format. Something is definitely off there. If ACI tech support can't figure that out then Randall Garrett in the apex sub-forum on this board would be the next best person to answer this question I would think.

Thanks for all the input, I have reached out to Apex on this and they suggested using the Apex outside of ACI, but that wont bring in calcs. No real issue with the sketch except it bugs me, I like my reports to look as professional as possible as pay good money for ACI each year.

Hi Brunge,
I will look into this, but in the meantime, can you tell me who you spoke with at Apex so I can get with them to better understand the issue? I'd like to help you get this resolved ASAP. As an ex-appraiser myself, I can relate to the frustration you may be having. From what I have read, if the output in Apex looks sharp, then the issue is likely rooted in a mis-que on handling the image in ACI, but again, I want to check this out myself to be sure I can get you going again ASAP. Feel free to PM me if you want.

Regards,

-Randall Garrett-
