Speaking of sketches, does anyone insert a statement regarding the sketch in case of minor inaccuracies? If so, what do you state?

I put:
2. The appraiser has provided a sketch in this appraisal report to show the approximate dimensions of the improvements. The sketch is included only to assist the reader in visualizing the property and understanding the appraiser’s determination of its size.

I found once 1 SF difference in Apex and Winsketch on a drawing....never did figure out why it was different, it was in the way they calculated an arc apparently. i use Winsketch because I have used it for years and haven't needed to update...a rarity in software these days. As the OS changes, the functionality of some software does to pot. I would never consider Winsketch as a new purchase but I don't think it has changed or been updated for a decade. Clickforms allows you to select Winsketch, apex or rapidsketch as a default.

William, if you are still using v3.0, you can go to this link to get v3.2. As a registered user, it is a free update./

That didn't go very well. I spoke to Apex tech and they said DENIED. There is no record I purchased the Apex program. I said that's strange because I'm looking at it on my PDA with the registration code as we speak. Apex said to call Alamode and get the puchase agreement from when I bought it 5 YEARS AGO and fax it to them. I wonder what the odd's are that Alamode has that info. So I call Alamode tech, DENIED.

Maybe I just talked to the wrong people and I should try again. This time Alamode found an invoice from 10/05 where I purchased Apex 3.0. So I call Apex with the invoice in hand, DENIED. They said any upgrades from 3.0 to 3.2 have to come from Alamode.

Here is what I put on all my drawings.....

This is of my house.

Yeah William, the same thing happened to me. Bought several licenses at the same time and neither company could find any record of it. Any time I have had a question Alamode has told me to call Apex and Apex tells me to call Alamode. I like the Apex software but have been frustrated several times with their customer service.

Do you have your online account setup with a la mode? Even if your support is expired, you should be able to access your account online. There you should see a "My Downloads" page where you can get the last version of Apex 3 for WinTOTAL, both Athena and Aurora. When I reactivated WinTOTAL after not having it for a few years, I did it through the web site and I seem to remember everything being there even without an active support contract; it certainly is worth trying. The only problem I see you having would be if you discontinued your a la mode support prior to the release of 3.2, it may be that it won't give you that version. With an active support contract, it will definitely be available.

The a la mode customer web site is excellent. If you use their products, you should use their site. When you order products through their web site, you get a $20 discount. They offer an "auto-renew" program where the discount is even better. I'll get $20 off the two product I have and another $10 to boot next fall when I renew. It is simple for them, and it is a good deal for me.
