I was just sitting around contemplating the world last night and this question came to mind. Skip:shrug:py, Is it a noun, verb or adjective?
It is a name and officially a noun. BTW there is no need to capitalize the "I" after an apostrophe. Here are 23 references in order to help continue this post. http://www.reference.com/search?r=13&q=Skippy

From this site above:

Skippy is a disparaging term used to refer to a poorly trained or unethical real property appraiser known for completing sloppy appraisal reports replete with errors, omissions, and/or misrepresentations.
Author..Author?

Skippy has a crush on Mallory, but she will not give him the time of day. To bad she didn't go on to be a MB.

Skippy had a crush on Mallory. But now, Mallory is old and dealing drugs on Wisteria Lane...

Maybe they will make a move about her and Skippy can play a leading role?:rof::rof::rof:

Movie, not move. Sorry!

While on this important subject, there is urgent need to correctly set out the plural. Most agree there are many out there. Skippys or Skippies?

Doug

I think Skippy is the plural.......like deer, quail, etc.

Skippy is a proper noun.

Skippy is a proper noun. Skippy is a Kangaroo. Kangaroos have very flexible ears. Skippy style appraisers have very flexible ears when it comes to client requests.

"Skippy" is a noun and adjective:

ie. I despise Skippy, he (or she) is taking away all of my business. - Noun
Only a skippy appraiser would charge that low a fee in this market. - Adjective

After reading the original post on "skippy" it is hilarious how so many have morphed the meaning to whatever they don't personally like.
