I've relied on the app in every report during the past two years to copy/paste flood maps, property profiles, etc., into my ACI reports.

Somehow the process changed about two weeks ago. I can still pull up the app, define the range, and copy the range . . . but the download is nowhere to be found, although I have tried about 10 different on-line fixes and went through every computer folder.

Peer advice about a fix, or an alternative snipping protocol (other than print scan because I never need to copy/paste an entire webpage).

Can't believe this damn problem is mine alone, or that I devoted about 10 hours this week trying to resolve the problem.

Thanks.

The Firefox browser has a great snipping tool built into it. You might give it a try… Just right-click on any webpage, and you'll be presented with several options, including "download", as I did below.

So I would need to change from Chrome to Firefox? If so would that cause a lot of problems? For example, would my internet Bookmarks carry over? Ditto my passwords, etc?

Firefox does a great job of importing all those bookmarks & passwords, and will keep them updated on multiple platforms. When I make password changes on my desktop installation, they carry over to my tablet and phone as well.

Your snipping program is configured to store those images somewhere; maybe the default folder you were using has changed. When the clip comes up you probably have a "save as" option which will also give you a choice of where to save it and under what file name. The folder they suggest first where be where the program has been saving your other clips.

Personally, I've been using the snipping tool in W10, and either copy/paste into my report or else saving the clip to my desktop. But I'm not working in ACI or any of the others.

On Windows 10, I just start to type it in the bottom left hand search bar, and it comes up, on Windows 11 it is to the right (search box).

That's the thing. The app starts to work as always but after I take the snip, the snipped image with the Save As option no longer presents itself, nor can I find the snip results in any of several folders described on various internet websites where users are asking similar questions. I am questioning my very existence because of this problem. LOL

My Windows 11 snipping tool seems to be working just fine. A window opens and asks me which folder I would like to save my screenshot in when I click on "the floppy disk icon". The default is "pictures/screenshots". There is also a menu option to "open screenshots folder", which is working fine for me. If you can't "open screenshots folder", that may give you a trail to follow.

I wore the damn pictures folder out yesterday trying to find the screenshot folder. Maybe I need to create a screenshot folder so the Snip It downloads have somewhere to go????

Now it's time to inspect ANOTHER multi-unit, apparently unlivable C4 or C5 condition, in a straight-up ghetto neighborhood, closest comp 4.5 miles away, 100 degrees high noon!!!
