OMG.. this type of SH*# comments is the reason why I have not used this forum much anymore!! Case in POINT-RIGHT HERE!!
Has nothing at all to do with my competency!! amateur!!!
If you would take the time to read comments frequently and kindly made here by DWiley on various subjects, you would not find yourself in situations where you have to urgently post to get an answer.

Good Morning AF-

So, we attempted to search for previous comments posted here for solar panels.. we have a difficult AMC-(nothing new).. requesting comments when its not even mentioned in the EL!!
IMO.. these are PERSONAL PROPERTY as living in TX, they look UGLY... IMO and look out for hail damage!! LOL!! But they look like they could be removed by some type of professional, but then again Im not a solar panel expert.

Placed comment in the report about that as a Component, they deliver future energy savings-(if you like to see that monstrosity on your roof.. but commented on the contributory value and cost to remove or maintain!

IDK.. I still think they ugly... lol
All due respect, but in an appraisal situation your personal personal opinion of what's beautiful or ugly should be invisible and of no effect on what you're doing, no different than if their dog bit you. Your concern as an appraiser is the market's reaction to these attributes. What THEY think, not what you think.

Our marketplace in California shows NO increase in value as a result of having solar panels nowadays.

There is also added cost for maintenance and sometimes insuance. The savings over buying from the grid are not adding up for many these days.

I've seen it both ways in my assignments over the years.

if you have a comparable sale with solar panels the value is included in the sales price, if there is a lack of solar panel homes in the area, well that tells the story. am i an expert now? :giggle:

Not quite. It could be popular to lease but not own outright without financing. Would those people leasing prefer to own them outright?

A defensive person has trouble accepting responsibility for their posts and actions. They have difficulty with constructive criticism and may mistakenly take it as a perceived threat. Anyone can be triggered by a personal issue that causes them to have a defensive reaction.

Recommendation: Rub CBD oil on your temples and stop drinking coffee all day.

Except for Tesla solar panels.;)
Everyone loves those expensive looking battery units if they can afford it.

good questions.

"In December 2020, Congress passed an extension of the ITC, which provides a 26% tax credit for systems installed in 2020-2022, and 22% for systems installed in 2023. (Systems installed before December 31, 2019 were eligible for a 30% tax credit.) The tax credit expires starting in 2024 unless Congress renews it."

i hope they are not making a lending decision based on the cost saving :rof: :rof: :rof:

Everyone? Musk just sold off nearly 7 billion worth of shares of Tesla. He cashed out.... he knows his over-inflated stock price is going to crash.
