If you recognize the URL, then it is likely safe to unsubscribe - the assumption being that the sender will comply with the request. Otherwse, for example if the sender is a maliciaous hacker, "reporting spam and blocking" is considered safer, because you avoid giving the sender any confirmation that the email is active and being used.Is it usually safe to "Unsubscribe" to a site that keeps bugging, rather than "reporting spam and blocking"? I'm always worried that to "unsubscribe is a trap.
