As far as there being grammer and spelling police on this fourm, that is one of thier callings in life, so be it.

Ok if that is how you feel then based on your post you must be an uneducated skippy. I most certainly hope you are not as lazy and sloppy in your reports as you are in composing thoughts to contribute here on the forum. This is a professional site. How dare you incorrectly spell forum and their!

Hey this is fun. Lets put each others posts under a microscope and point out every small error because that is how conversation works in real life between people talking face to face right?

I have a choice now, to continue to answer your postings or go out and feed my stock, which may or may not have a bit of a higher IQ.

I also don't care to deal with many people who have a fear of using there real names or a professional forum. that indicates to me they lack any real b_ _ _ s in life. Sort of like those people who have an inmatation pair hanging from thier trailer hitch on their trucks. Either you got them or you don't, no need to advertise. Skippy my A $ $.

Gee I thought you did not mind someone picking apart posts for spelling and grammar issues? Obviously my prior post was tongue in cheek. I'd never dare to judge someone based on an incorrectly spelled word or two. My point was there are posters on this site who DO just that and feel obligated to go off topic specifically to correct these mistakes and point out the flaws in posts that are suppose to be casual and conversational.

As for your comments about using real names, you just managed to insult probably 50-75% of the posters on this site, many of them well respected. Screen names are common place on chat sites.

Up date, have droped another 45 lbs since I posted back in late Oct. Have another 50 to 75 lbs to go yet.

I think getting out and shoveling the driveways by hand every other day and snowshoeing one to three hours three four times a week is working well.

Starting tomorrow will try to get in a swim three times a week as well and do some free weights every other day at the gym.

Those are large amounts of weight loss. You should likely consider different kinds of foods that lessen the likelyhood of blood platelets clumping or a clot formation due to artery plaque; especially prior to strenous exercise; such as, vitamin E, Fish Oil Tablets (or oily fish; such as, salmon, albacore tuna, anchovies, sardines, mackerel, herring), Fruits (such as, berries, melons, citrus, grapes & raisins), leafy greens. I would also take aspirin just prior to strenuous exercise; assuming you don't have any sensitivity to aspirin. If you are taking prescription medicines or blood thinning agents, you should consult your doctor regarding aspirin or even foods.

Caveat: I'm not a doctor, but I play one on the appraisers-forum.

On Vitamin E and fish oil pills, plus the cat and I have a helping of tuna or sardiens two or three times a week for lunch and a friday night baked fish, that is Ocupi, red fish, samon, boild shrimp, catfish, perch, blue gill. I keep a jar of pickled herring in the ice box for a snack. Raisins, dates and figs once a day. Greens are common at each meal. Aspirins are monring and evening and have been for years. The vet is keeping an eye on me, but no problems for now.

The stress test showed a fast recovery of that of a normal 30 year old.

Then the boss has me on a half dozen other types of things. Take some in the morning and some in the evening. She and the vet knows what they are, I really haven't a clue except for the Tumric for joint pain that has worked well for years.woohoo

I just got back from a health seminar. I had been to the intro a few weeks ago and lost 5 lbs in a week. The only change: I drink an ounce of hemp oil (flax seed oil, or better yet, Udo's Choice Oil) in the morning, chase it with a piece of fruit to get the taste/texture out of your mouth, and wait 1/2 hour before eating. The good fats (EFAs) regulate your hunger AND hour blood sugar level, and keep you less hungry through the day.

The also have a video that shows diabetics changing their diet and getting off insulin in a few days, and being CURED of diabetes in 30 days. Pretty powerfuls stuff.

Most people eat based on the old 'triangle' put out by the dairy council, which exists to promote dairy products, and is NOT healthy for us!

I'm going 40% raw for the next two months, I'll let you all know how it goes.

I've been on a low-carb diet on and off (mostly on) since I gained a shocking 75 lbs. while pregnant. Shocking especially since I usually weigh 117 to 118 lbs and wear a size 2. After 2 years, I'm back to where I was weight-wise, but don't feel the same. So I've added weight lifting to my workout, also 'Captain's Chair' exercises for the lower abs. Also taking 4,000 I.U. of Vitamin D3 (prescribed by doctor since I've been sick all winter), DMAE, and Chromium polynicolinate. The chromium really does seem to rev up the metabolism and the other stuff seems to help the skin.

It's really tough to keep weight off once gained and return fully, since I understand those fat cells are mostly still there, even if rather empty.

Personally, I'm not a fan of supplements to "speed metabolism", since the body always regulates itself. Just like drinking coffee, if your body takes in a nutrient that causes a stimulation and you do it regularly, then the body will compensate for it, and you will return to your prior metabolism. Exercise is the only way to balance the calorie equation (calories in equal calories out) and keep muscle mass. There seems to be a universal tendency to gain fat in the middle section (even if dieting) without sufficient exercise. Exercise seems to counter that progression, especially a ski machine, biking, running, sit ups, crunches, etc., that focus on the mid section. I personally use a Precor 515e Ski Machine - it's really great for the mid section, butt and back and keeps my 30" waist size. I'm not sure they sell those anymore, its made of aluminum and very strong for commercial gym use. If you are interested, there may be one used you can find.

Vitamin D supplementation is great, since depending upon sunshine or supplemented foods, such as, Milk and cheese, is not reliable. I generally don't like too much sun exposure and use sunscreens, so the Sun is definitely not a source for me.
