Well, guess what? The seller's Realtor decided not to hire the "other appraiser" after all and accept my appraisal........guess even the "other appraiser" couldn't swallow the inflated sale price! Now to the underwriter for more fun and games.......

Great news for you!
Remember this next time your faith in your work is put to the test.
You da man!

Blue1;
as I was opening your package here, had 5 intruders try to tap into my puter; everytime I come on here it's a barage 8O didn't know so many hackers had nothing else to do in life - there's nothing interesting here :?

jtrotta,

I don't have any idea what you're talkin about, please explain.

Bruce,

I think he's trying to say that Wayne's site is a hot bed of hackers. Everytime he logs on here, his computer is being probed by them.

Time for a good firewall everybody.

Ben

Getting into the tech forum section, but all I have to say is Zone Alarm.com.

How can you tell when your computer is being probed?

Blue,
The link below is to a site, Shields Up, that will explain it all. I would cut and paste, but there is just too much and Wayne has axed us to not waste space. Hope this helps. If you are on a dial up, you don't have the problems of hackers.

Bruce,

I took my firewall down when the Comcast morons messed-up my connection and blamed it on McAfee Firewall but I'm putting it back up again.

Most software will alert you when a hacker is attempting to access your computer illegally.

Hmm... appraiser/hackers on this site. Isn't that a crime of moral turpitude punishable under USPAP. OK, only in North Carolina, that board is really tuff. In NJ, we're still waiting for those appraisal licenses that expired on 12/31/01.

Ben

I never turn my Norton off except when I'm loading a new software program, which is like RARELY.

Also, my system has only specifically loaded software, none of that fully-loaded CPUs you see on TV ads or Best Buy.

That makes it run smooher and faster, too. As if a human could tell the difference with a Pentium 4 chipper chip.
