Which County? Putnam County as well as others have tons of developed vacant lots that could handle significant population increases. It just depends on whether the communities want it.
New town is in Collier County (Fort Myers/Cape Coral). We have Babcock Ranch in Charlotte County, doing the same growth

Are you near Pt. Charlotte? If so, what's the deal with that new, big "resort" by the bridge?

I was down there a few weeks ago visiting relatives and there were 6 very tall construction cranes that didn't move all week.

50 housing markets turning ugly

Buying a home to occupy is not entirely an economic decision. And, unless things have changed, "value" isn't a fact - price is. So, if I think that bringing the process of house shopping to an end; getting settled in my fam's new digs; not having to find a short term rental while I continue shopping; getting the children in school; getting the new job started.................................So I pay X% more than the list price or Y% more than "the market" might suggest is an appropriate price, there is value in getting the house buying process completed. Technically, I suppose all that other "stuff" may mean that a buyer's motivation is "atypical", but isn't there not a sense in which buyer motivation in the purchase of every house intended for owner occupancy has an aura of being "atypical".

(FWIW, I found that digging for the reasons for price variances not attributable to physical attributes made being "just" a residential appraiser very interesting.)

If the hotel is maintained anything like their fleet of planes, the building will probably collapse in a year or two.

WORST AIRLINE IN THE WORLD flying poorly maintained planes staffed by surly, apathetic workers.

A lot of this thread reminds me of the people on here who constantly talk about the bubble popping...They say it for years and years and years..Eventually something will happen and it may pull back 10-20%ish..Then they gloat about "being right". Duh, but it took 15 years to "be right". Meanwhile all the people that bought years ago are up 50-500%+ in that time and thinking about all the money they made.

Do you want to sit on the sidelines and wait for something that may or may not happen and miss out based on a guess or make money?
