Subjects sole bathroom doesn't meet ANSI ceiling requirements.

The bathroom ceiling is 6 feet 9 inches from floor to ceiling—nothing above 7 feet. The subject has only this bathroom. Lender requires ANSI. Now what?

You don't need ANSI to call it a bath... just don't include that into the GLA. Of course, make comments explaining.

I believe this thread is a half inquisitory "what would my peers do" and half rant about ANSI posting.

I would bet that all public records and the Assessor would have the subject as containing "1" bathroom. I would also wager that whomever re-tiled the bathroom floor, did not pull up the old tile from the subfloor and tiled right over it.

well good for all of you, you are telling others to violate ANSI because you like common sense better.

Common sense says the speed limit should not be 25mph for me on certain roads but I get a ticket if I go over it regardless.

Calling it 1 bathroom would be consistent with what the FAQ says to do.

As for the tile theory, the height is 6 feet 9 inches, not 6.9 feet. I doubt that re-tiling is the issue. I suppose, theoretically, they could have used bathroom floor tile that is 3+ inches thick, but I have never seen such. And man would I hate to see the threshold if they did use tile that thick
