Just can't answer a simple question. You must just be confused. Just another keyboard warrior selling woof tickets that nobody is buying

why would i answer your questions...just keep blaming your own confusion on others i guess

I said what I said - no appraiser is somehow unaware of these existing prohibitions as previously addressed in USPAP. If the activists are uneducated about USPAP content that speaks to their incompetency WRT appraising in general and the ETHICS RULE in particular. If TAF went along with their desperate attempts to come up with *something* to show for their complaints all that amounts to is a political play to shut them up so that can't complain that TAF didn't do anything.

"Here you go. Take it and shut up. "

so it was a 500,000 payoff...ethical people do not bend to whims of the unethical:rof: :rof: :rof:

i mean TAF does profit from the situation...AO 39 AO 40 buy the book take the class snake oil salesmen :rof: :rof: :rof:

That's how lawfare works. TAF isn't just faced off with a law firm or the cat ladies on this. There's an entire political movement to which 25% of the entire population of the U.S. ascribes who would have summarily rejects a FOAD response from TAF over the issue. We sell our assertions of credibility as a means of promulgating trust in the appraisal profession.

That they were incapable of coming up with anything other than "I'm illiterate and can't read these prohibitions for content" should actually be interpreted as a sign that the fundamentals which underpin the appraisal standards themselves were legit all along.

Redundant, superfluous and unnecessary in the ETHICS RULE itself means the same for the elaborations in the AOs. And appraisers have been buying the books all along.

could you imagine it was 1776 and king george offered george washington 500,000 to just roll over...spineless...so how many other times has TAF just rolled over to fannie, revaa, crn and such under threat :rof: :rof: :rof:

Like it or not, TAF is in no position to simply ignore the prevailing political and social realities. And IRL - which is apparently different from djd09-world - TAF didn't CHANGE the requirements; just the explanation.

who knew TAF had no spine...revaa

I dunno about that. Can you imagine how frustrated the cat ladies and the Brookings Institute must be over the fact that their designated hitman was unable to change anything about how SFRs are supposed to be appraised? TAF basically just told them to pound sand. In the nicest possible way, of course.

They WANTED to sideline "most similar" and the SC in favor of finding other appraisal methodology (apparently thinking those alternatives would be location-blind) to get their predetermined result. But they came up dry.
