I am approximately 14,262 days old. I feel much older.:new_smile-l:

I'm 62 and just realized I've been an appraiser for 32 years which is almost 1/2 of my life.

I bet you were more fun in the first half of your life.

I'm a little over 9 times my certification number old!!!

I started typing up narrative reports for my dad when I was like 15 years old. I got roped in early. I've posted on AF several times that it boggles my mind how anyone in their 20s gets into the appraisal industry without another family member already in the door.

I'm 29 - about to make the scary slide into 30 in 4 months.
I'm one of the people mentioned above, so I figured I would share my story :) I graduated from Penn State with a degree in Integrative arts- couldn't find a job (big surprise!) in the art field and so took a temp job at an appraisal management company. About 2 months in I figured it would be a lot better to be on the other end of the phone, so I quit to take the classes. Sent out hundreds of resumes- spoke with a lady appraiser who said I reminded of her when she was younger and was going to hire me on as a trainee, but wanted me to also get my sales lincense. I was just getting prepared to take the classes when I saw an ad in the paper for an appraisal trainee! Called and went that day for an interview..... and the rest is history!
