The dismantling of PAVE

Which persons or organizations of influence do appraisers know who actually help them?
The Nepo appraiser scheme was very intact when I started in 1990, though on the wane over the preceding few years. Other appraisers have been at the top of the list among those referring me work over the years, as well as chief appraisers at several banks, both local and nationwide. :)

Greg, you are blessed. Perhaps you can spread some of your friends’ influence to benefit us all.

I’ve got connections too. That doesn’t mean that the entire appraisal profession is under the protection of anyone capable of shielding it from opposing interests.

You think maybe non stop personal attacks on agency and industry leaders often slanderous and hate filled may be a problem ? How smart is that ? I can disagree with someone or some agencies policies without publicity attacking them on public forums including calling them unethical and immoral.

If ones going to be stupid he need's to have the money and resources behind him to defend his big mouth.
Yeah, some of it is a bit overzealous. But some of the things about the board members are kind of suspect...

For me it's in the category of bureaucracy and there's just nothing you can really do about it....

Are you guys saying Mejappz is in the TOB....
Or having legal issues on the real world....

If I recall correctly, he's being sued for discrimination. He's been going through it for quite a while ( a couple years maybe).

I believe that's part of the reason of his harshness of the appraisal boards and such.

Remember using a AKA on a forum or online platform doesn't shield you from discovery and the danger is often many participants say things repeatedly that are incriminating and it's used against them.

We are all guilty of being stupid at times but a few seem to be setting themselves up to potential legal liability.

Once people start quoting holy scriptures and calling everyone immoral, unethical, liars and crooks on a non stop 24/7 daily routine that persons on thin ice. This is not ( Not talking about Mejapz) he was just grumpy and I wish him the best of outcomes if he's been falsly accused.

I think all these themes will be back with a (literal) vengeance the next time America elects another Democrat back into POTUS. And that it's smarter for appraisers to proceed accordingly regardless of their politics.

Your personal politics should be invisible in your work. Observe/report and keep your feelings to yourself.
I truly believe 99% of us have been doing that. And yet here came PAVE...

It's like answering the yes/no question: "Are you still beating your wife?"
