The Price of Eggs in China

Costco has always mostly leased their properties , often moving into Vacant old empty K-Marts
One I know is an old K mart location. I've never sit foot in a Costco and same for Sam except years ago I had a Sams card and wasted an hour trying to find stuff I needed for the office, ended up buying more at the SuperCenter and said to self, "Why am I paying membership for a place I don't find what I want?" So I didn't renew the card. Then after Reliable (rest in peace) and Office Depot came to town, I basically have bought nothing in Walmart. Only thing is the battery guarantees are better than most places. I actually found batteries cheaper elsewhere too.

Entirely possible. CA is a different animal, even for Costco. They even had a different employee handbook for CA because they were union

Out here as I recall the first one I found in about 1983 Was Called Price Club and you had to be a business and I had to also show them a resale number. Small compared to today's stores but I also owned a Janitorial service with some cousins and we purchased cleaning supplies which were way cheaper than at Janitorial Supply Stores.

I remembered Price Club. I was member to both. I think I liked Price Club better. It was a competitor to Costco. When Costco bought Price Club and wiped out the competition, Costco became a monopoly. Even Walmart with Sam's Club couldn't compete with Costco. Costco is an American success story with its honoring of $1.50 hot dog & drink and $4.99 roasted chicken. Even Dollar Tree couldn't keep its $1.00 price line in check.

The Dollar Store sold everything for a $1 buck- Costo Chicken and Hot Dog are loss leaders to get people fed as fed people spend more money on higher priced items.
