'The Sky is Falling' Narrative

Well then here is an intelligent twitter rant filled with moxie for your daughter emulate. (I'm pretty sure your daughter is already smarter than this.)

And I suspect (actually I'm quite sure of it) much smarter than you! So housing is just optional for folks! Money grubbingly stated by a landlord whose sole focus is.........? Consider joining the human race--which BTW is not a race for cash.

We have miles and miles of Interstate center median to install PV Panels.

Benefits: Well the below is a better idea instead of trying to drive on the dang things

1. Free Land for one.
2. most of Interstate is out in the open(sun).
3. Probably save some money by not having to cut as much grass/weeds
4. Be easy to lay the electrical conduit/lines and install the panels
5. Could help power Solar Energy re-fill stations along the interstate

Is that positive enough for ya, Pete!

Even that Twit AOC could have thought this up, but she didn't and she won't because she has a mind like a small child.

Certainly a change! You're another one of those folks that fear strong woman. I get it.

  • Louisiana regulators on Wednesday approved proposed changes to the state's net metering standards that change the way rooftop solar owners are compensated for the energy they supply to the grid.
  • Under the policy, utilities will pay rooftop solar customers the avoided cost of the power they supply to the grid, around $0.04/kWh, rather than the retail rate, around $0.10/kWh. Utilities will then be able to recover any lost revenues for the excess power generated to the grid through rooftop solar. Customers under the old net metering model or customers who apply for net metering by the end of the calendar year will be grandfathered into the old retail rates for the next 15 years.

Rooftop solar looses its appeal and advantage with new net metereing.

So Pete, you are not a believer in markets. Odd for an appraiser.

Seems even a socialist would understand that if housing costs are too high it would create a vacancy problem. When there are too many vacancies...see if you can guess what happens next.

First things first, though - the left intends to grab your guns. THEN they'll be in a stronger position to impose the overthrow of capitalism.

Make America Venezuela again.

This is one of the most odious posts I have read on the forum. How many innocent victims have been killed this year in USA by guns?

None of us can say with any certainty who Pete actually is, other than he identifies as a CG in PA. Actual substantive appraisal topic post(rare) he has made confirms his status as a CG. Pete has made it pretty clear that he is a leftist. Pete is also one liner bomb thrower. Pete might be a female self identifying as a male. We don't actually know much at all about Pete. Pete is practicing in Pittsburgh and I presume lives in that area. That's about it!

My first thought was it must be difficult to work as a CG being a leftist, but then I can see how he/she gets around that simply by sticking strictly to the task of appraising. Political stance has nothing to do with the analysis and reporting of any type of RE Property value.

Pete did impress me recently when we had a discussion about Gentrification. There were two paths of discussion occurring in that thread. What it is and the effects on MV and the other was about WHO it was impacting. I was taking the path of who was being impacted negatively by the process. It bothers me when I see the negative results of Gentrification. I don't let that cloud my appraisal process. I am sure that none of us let that influence our outcome.

Funny thing about Pete. He accused me of being another man afraid of Strong Women(had to do with some of us mocking the juvenile behavior of AOC. FTR I make fun of any Political Buffoon. We sure have a lot of them in our elected representatives.

Its difficult to take anyone seriously that acts the way she does.

I don't like those that operate out of both sides of their mouth.

A CG operates within our capitalist structure day in day out, actually it provides the food that he eats.
To then espouse the political views that he does is just ridiculous. Supporting AOC's views, particularly her latest rant on what's wrong with our barbarous housing system, makes me wonder. Is there any part of America that PP likes? Or is he a privileged guy like Beto trying to shed some guilt over his prosperity?

I don't "get" either guy.

None. Criminals murder people, not guns.

California retail sales of guns have averaged about 900,000 guns a year being added to our arsenal, almost evenly split between handguns and long guns. The rate of deaths attributed to guns (including suicides) was lower in 2018 that it was in 2008 despite the increase in population. More guns has not added to more gun violence.

Half of gun deaths in California are suicides.

(I was just poking in my post, sorry if you found it unduly offensive)
