Thirdhand Smoke And Home Value

They just need to pass some radically new laws creating residential zones for special populations with special problems or sensitivities. And my imagination goes wild here. Could I possibly live in such a heaven? Never have to worry about neighbors who smoke - anything? Or ... so many possibilities.

We call it the woods out here.

Minimum lot size 1 acre, no clear cutting allowed. If you see neighbors, you only see them through the trees.

But let's just say, "humanity" has been down these kinds of social engineering paths, and they have typically resulted in genocides and other not so pleasant things, because the over-sensitives could not tolerate their fellow citizens.

Yea, I would love that, but:

1. My wife is the extreme social type and her idea of an ideal place would be a small condo in Chinatown, San Francisco.
2. I need to be close to a good hospital for when I get old, and everywhere I would like to live, or think I would like to live (at least moderate conservative, Republican, cheap large house with at least 5 acres, such as Baker, Oregon), has somewhat limited hospital facilities. [Correction Baker has, I guess a good hospital.]

I have thought about "The Woodlands, TX" ... or north in Conroe, where the Hughes Corporation is starting a new similar housing development. Good hospitals ... but I don't think I can tear my wife away from California's Indian casinos. Problem is, with her, I never know for sure what she wants - she is a Trump negotiator and takes a stance opposite mine to get me to contribute more to the effort in whatever way. I like The Woodlands - lots of shaded pathways for running, nice town.

Substitute smoke for curry. Or insert your favorite extra pungent, nay stinky!, ingredients here. :peace:

For me curry is heaven. My favorite food: Indian food, high quality Naans with chicken curry and potatoes. I never could understand why anyone would object to the smell of curry. - Garlic I can understand.

I love Indian food myself. As in , order in a restaurant or take out. But I;ve been in houses where constant cooking with curry (or other strong spices or ingredients ) permeates the air, becomes rancid and it smells very strongly, not in a good way. Odors become stale and rancid over time and if home is not aired out becomes worse as permeate materials and interact with them.

Just wow...
BTW...I think you already live there. Watch where you step.

The U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) claims that outdoor air kills hundreds of thousands of Americans every year. EPA has used this claim to: wreck the coal industry; justify expensive and job-killing air quality and climate rules; and to scare Americans about the air they breathe. Milloy not only debunks the outrageous EPA's claims and exposes them as rank scientific fraud in no uncertain terms, but offers a roadmap for fixing the rogue and out-of-control EPA.

I don't get the curry hate. What is WRONG with people :leeann:

Great now I want Vindaloo and it is too late to get it.
