***Appraiser Trainee Research for Cierra***

Hi, my name is Cierra. Currently, I'm operating as an Appraiser Trainee in the Conroe, Texas area. I'm seeking to enter a training program with an appraisal company known as RSDS Appraisal Diversity, LLC. To enter the training program, I'm required to ask 10 Certified Appraisers (in Texas) three questions. The appraisal industry is super demanding so I ask for just a little of your time. If you please do not mind, can you answer the questions listed below for my research assignment? Your answers will make a positive impact on my career!

  1. How did you come to be an appraiser?
  2. What do you enjoy most about this industry?
  3. Would you take me on as a trainee?
Thank you so much for your time!

*****You can respond by emailing me your answers to cierrajbyrd@gmail.com or you can reply to the post with your name and answers.
Sorry.... I'm not in Texas

I'm confused...
Surprised you haven't been getting their spam texts. You sign up with them, turn over your book of business and hope for the best. It's all a big hustle, even for the trainees.

1. convinced an appraiser to hire me.
2. I actually enjoy the job. the freedom it gives me to set my own schedule. I enjoy meeting the people at their homes, etc. Thats why I don't understand the appraiser bias angle.
3. Nope. Lenders took away the ability for trainees to inspect on their own. There is no incentive to hire a trainee if they only get to follow you around like a puppy dog.

1. Got a mentor, and then a better mentor after I got experience.
2. Not working for companies like RSDS who ask these silly questions.
3. No, but its not personal I'm not looking for trainees.

Only thing I can think of is there are trying to pump themselves up after you go to 10 people that won't mentor you they talk about how great they are for giving you an opportunity. Its a hook to make them not look so bad.

Yea I just got my first one today.
I remember getting an E-mail from them quite a while ago. Seem to remember they were "recruiting" local appraiser's to become part of their organization to open up local office. The strange thing is that many of the cities they list as having "local offices". Don't have a local office address and the telephone number is the corporate number.
