Tree Very Close To The House

I am pretty sure home inspectors flag it. I would flag it.

I did a VA appraisal last week where there was a large hickory tree in which was about 2 feet from the foundation and a large wood covered deck was built around it up on the main level. The tree went right through the roof over the deck. There were several cracks in the concrete block wall on the rear of the dwelling where the roots were located. I called for an inspection by a qualified professional to determine if the roots were the cause of the cracks and to have the tree removed if necessary.

We'll patiently wait for Mr. Cut n Paste to include photos of the MILLIONS of trees that have caused no damage.

Clearly a topic for a different thread discussion.

Trees are nice in many ways and can improve property values and can cut utilities.

They can also do some serious damage up against a house or improvements.

These homes must be doomed!

.

Doomed, I tells ya. :ROFLMAO:

Better tear it down! The house, not the trees.
The trees are all kept equal by hatchet, axe, and saw. :peace:

We have oaks here. Concrete, plumbing, foundations i.e. are like wimps compared to their roots.
