UAD 3.6 discussion

Why difference does that make? In the end, there are numerous entities that are working on new technologies and AI that are going to put a lot of appraisers and people in other professions and lines of work out of business.
Do any of the rah rah let AI kill the jobs folks ever think about the consequences?

If, for example, 40% ( making it up) of Americans are going to be out of work by AI, the whole economy would go into a depression—where would the customers come from to buy the goods or pay for the services that are done with so much efficiency by AI?

I am not happy about AI likely replacing a lot of jobs in the future and I am certainly not cheering it on, but I am a realist and am simply stating what I believe is going to happen. That certainly does not make me a "rah rah let AI kill jobs" person.

50% of all Baby Boomers will either be dead or in full time retired within 10 years and 80% will be dead in 12 to 15 years and that alone solves the issue keeping so many people employed.

Remember the boomers final bust is like their births after WW-11 it was a big event then and now the unwinding of their lifes is a major transformation in economic history with almost perfect time to meet technology replacement of what their former job's and employment had been .

Even the tech billioniares who would benefit from AI are warning that regualtins should be put in place due to possiblibty of large scale job loss. Trump is failing to put protections in place or regulate it. Musk called for regulation as have many others, for many reasons beyong jobs, intellectual property theft etc.

I believe that job loss will be recognized as an existential threat and therefore it will evolve to an interaction between humans and AI assistance, with AI only replacing certain functions. But I am an optimist and think if for no other reason than self-interest it might evolve that way.

IT is the reason many tech leaders suggest UI—where else will the money come from to buy the goods and services now produced so efficiently by AI?
IDK - maybe more humans will quit the rat race and go back to a simple barter economy and homestead farming? If every job is replaceable and vunleralbe and means constant fear and anxitey of losing it then atneraives wil be sought,

If everybody simply refused to offer 3.6 and only use the legacy forms it would put a major stink bomb in the punch bowl that may get the attention of Trump

It is an attack on small business and the traditional real estate business. You can bet LOs are next and it's already gone after realtors as an opening salvo. Trump doesn't like collectivist entities either does Pulte. I'm sure this whole issue isn't on their radar. The effected are Trump voters for the most part.

There is no realistic way to prevent AI from replacing human workers through regulation....it is simiply impossible to stop technological advances by trying to prevent them by regulations. If you bar AI from taking jobs in one place, those "jobs"/functions will simply be moved elsewhere. Additionally, there will still likely be certain jobs for humans in the future but they simply won't be the all of the same jobs that are available today and many of the current jobs that exist today and survive will, in many cases, be done differently.

Good luck with that plan. I am sure that much of your competition will be very happy to pick up the business that you and other UAD 3.6 boycotters refuse.
