Alamode is working continuously with the GSE’s on an updated UAD that will filter out all the bad and help appraisers perform better on reports. I spoke with a representative at alamode and they are hoping for a target date sometime in 2025. This obviously is not new news, but 2025 would be great if it can be accomplished. That saying, has anyone dealt with E&O recently suggesting removal of potentially biased words (not hard stops). My borrower’s last name was Temple on a report, thereby creating several warnings. Any suggestions how to word a blanket statement in your report that will satisfy an underwriter who is scrambling for revision requests?

Do you mean revisions for using so called no no words.

mainly where it can’t be helped like the name of a borrower or a street (like Church Road). I was asked to remove Church Road and refused to do so. Stupidity.

Was it actually a person that requested the change or an automated system

My guess is the "person" who asked for that revision was working off a checklist provided by a word search program. A check box monkey.
