Unable to find comps which have "owned" solar panels. What to do?

I hate to break it to you but Google Earth Pro (which is free) has a slider you can use to access previous overheads. So you can narrow the time frame down when an install was added. Not only that, but you can use your MLS to check addresses for their most recent listings (sold or otherwise) and look for references about owned vs leased. Very doable. I know this because I've done this, and it usually doesn't take very long to come up with a couple.

As for the fee, that's a separate issue. Obvi
 
I was talking to a SFR reviewer yesterday about this topic and they said that when someone says there are no owned solar in the area they take a screengrab of the overhead and start circling properties with solar installs, and tell the appraiser to check their respective sales histories.
Tell the SFR to pound sand.:guns:
