Let's all thank Democrat Mayor Richard Daley for his "kind" words about appraisers and the appraisal industry. By the way, Daley recieves lots of campaign money from the AFL-CIO.
Cuomo throws us under the bus. Daley throws us under the bus. Who's next?
I've been a really good boy sitting on the sidelines listening to the Union folks tell me how shocked our elected representatives have been when told about how AMC's are impacting appraisers. I was aked to submit a brief summary of how AMC's have impacted my income? I put it all out there so my elected officials know I'm not a happy camper. Now what did I get for all this? A revised HVCC that is even worse for appraisers than the old one! Does anyone from the Union want to get on here an explain what the Maryland Democrats in Congress have done to help us appraisers? I'll be waiting.
I see it like this; unfettered capitalism leads to the mess we are in now. Sitting back with complete faith in the markets which is what Bush said many times in the years leading up to this mess is foolish. Barney Frank saying at Congressional inquiries into the lending industry "I don't see why we are here" is lazy. Lets face it our government caused this meltdown and they need to get us our of this mess....well I’m varying off point, my point is we need regulation but not to stifle growth. I understand that it's easier said than done because so many people want so many different things, but I know it is necessary and fairness should win out.
I am speaking from an Independent voter the fastest growing segment of our population that is tired of the partisan back and forth without solving real solutions. Something has to be done! do I have the answers? not entirely, but I know we need all sides at the table in order for a proper judgment to be made. I hope our industry does not go away but to be honest seeing how hard it is for a group of dedicated hopeful individuals to band together to make a difference is ... It looks like the powers that be have succeeded in really screwing this country and its citizens up.
That was great Wayne, whatever you just said. We had regulation but the regulators were ignored. We don't need more regulation. If our elected officials had done their job we wouldn't be in this mess. So what is more regulation that doesn't work going to do for us?
As for any change coming out of Maryland it is going to have to come from Democrat lawmakers. This is a blue state run for and by Democrats!
I'm still waiting for those Union folks to tell us what they have accomplished with our elected Democtratic officials in the battle to get the HVCC changed. Andy Cuomo did it to us again and I'll bet the AFL-CIO will be stocking his election campaign with plenty of cash.
