Uprading from windows 10 to windows 11

Planned obsolescence is what human appraisers are experiencing....
We are not going away that fast, despite all the threat talk about AI, which is way overrated for tasks other than scientific and medical ( IMO). It is like a pest reminding us about things or finishing sentences, sometimes with an inappropriate word. I read it is years away, if ever being able to replace the human ability to create or multitask wrt absorbing the implications of things, not just the data fact -

Technology moves exponentially....

Technology moves exponentially....
People need to get smart about it and realize that tech moving exponentially is not always a thing to be rewarded - in our rush to embrace the tech titans pushing more "efficiency," we are destroying jobs and livelihoods, and the only ones who benefit from the efficiency are the top tier company owners, CEO's and large shareholders.

My computer processing being faster or "helping " me with a mostly useless AI assistant has not increased my income and in some ways, is decreasing it. I was fine with Windows 7 and Windows XP - wrt the ipone apple with new versions is, tweaking things and making it faster but the basic functions are not that different - my iPhone 6 worked just fine ( I have an iPhone 14 now and a bigger screen or better camera has not changed my life into nirvana -

Not saying it's good or bad....

There's always linux. ElementaryOS and ZorinOS are fantastic operating systems.

Perhaps the dominant operating systems are not the best operational but rather the best marketed and backed by the billionaires -

I like linux but billionaire-backed MacOS and Windows are more polished and reliable. But yeah, the auto-updates are annoying.

Microsoft will no longer be supporting Windows 10 after Oct 25 and is offering a free upgrade to Windows 11- I believe my desktop; HP has the specs for it, but I do not want to download it to cause issues - has anybody upgraded to Windows 11 with the Microsoft free offer?
thanks
Windows 10 will continue to work just as it has. You will no longer receive updates. The main impact of that will be that you need to use a third party security software. My choice for that is BitDefender..... but there are other good ones.

You do run disk cleanup on your windows 10 don't you baby?

There are better ones marketed and backed by the homeless. Just to funny. You seem to not like billionaires, not saying i do. But, you do love trillionaire government as being the best operating system for everyone.
Didn't know i could get a political statement into a win 10 thread? I did it just for you J Grant. And in only 1 sentence.
