USPAP Instructor Certification Course

Congrats! I will be taking the course in Denver in August. What I find amazing is .. I facilitate a 75 hour basic appraisal course which includes 15 hours of USPAP and I still have to take the update to qualify for CE. Ya'll have fun!

David,

You asked ,many times if I am getting it. Well, YES, I am reading you loud and clear- your porch light is on, but no one is home.

Frank,

105 out of 160. Interesting- less than 2/3 passed. It was to be graded on a curve. Let's remember that this course is to teach the instructor how to teach USPAP, so if that does not pass the FL board requirements it is quite OK- I AM assuming that when the course is taught by the now certified instructors (and one must register with the Foundation after passing- I sent my stuff in 2 days ago) that both the students and instructor would get credit, this is if FL gives CE credit to instructors.

BTW, do you require an exam if it is taken for CE only?

Other interesting observations: I'm told that these numbers reflect 6 courses with another 6 scheduled. That will make 210 national instructors. 4+ per state on average.

Also, some states prohibit board members from teaching (I do not know why). I'm told that some really bristled at the AQB as they could not meet the experience requirement for taking the instructor course. True?

Go Bob! I am convinced that you will be a better instructor than any I've had to date. I am sick of going to CE classes on this subject only to find that my rudimentary knowledge and common sense is greater than the instructor's.

Good going Bob

This must be where the USPAP experts post because I cant figure out what the hell is going on.

This topic started out discussing USPAP instructor tests and turned into a huge NCAB thread (again).

So the NCAB posts were split off from it and moved to the "Improving the Profession/Political Action" Forum where the other NCAB threads are. If you want to continue that discussion go there. It is at:
http://appraisersforum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1943

If you want to talk about USPAP instructor tests as Bob originally posted about, then continue it here.
