Karl, you are right!
I have more time with my family, my house and yard never looked better and my cars are clean. Seriously, my work is off but so are my expenses. I've found we dine out less and do more things ourselves we normally pay others for because we have the time. If you were living within your means before all this started, it's just a matter of maintaining that balance. After 23 years of chasing my tail, I finally have some of my life back.
This business has always been all or nothing with clients. Now that their business is slow, I can service their needs and mine. I don't expect it will last. Eventually, this mess will sort itself out or evolve into some other sort of weirdness and everyone will be racing around like crazy again.
I'm taking 3 weeks off in October and considering just taking the whole month.
Fritz,
I feel the same way. I'm using my extra time to do some stuff around the hoiuse, and for hobbies. It is great to work 30-40 hours a week. It seems like part-time, lol
