Steal whatever you want from Walgreens with no penalty but in California, porch pirates get 1 year in prison for stealing Amazon packages. Can’t make this stuff up.

And how many years they get in Connecticut?
I openly discuss the smash and grab in CA and I hear other parts in US have similar crime so this is not an isolated problem in CA.
The criminals caught here I see are from the poorer parts of the region.
Could this be a sociological problem in which the poor are rising up which I always fear would happen. They don't care about the laws and do what they can and get away.

Investors apparently don’t share this groups concerns … according to The Boulder Group, Walgreens cap rates are down 85 basis points over the last 12 months to an average of 5.4%, with CVS rates down 35 bp to 5.15%. I guess they don’t think the world is coming to an end …

Not sure what you mean. This "groups" concern appears to be about uncontrolled theft. Not cap rates

If investors thought “uncontrolled theft” was an issue, instead of an anomaly, their investments in these retail properties would be riskier, requiring a higher rate of return.

Porch thief fail...but good news, she can sue the homeowner now.
