Water attachment device for autos.

Does anyone remember the thread where someone mentioned about the water device that can be attached to a motor of an automobile?

I believe you are referring to the fuel known as "HHO". Go into Youtube or Google and put in HHO gas and you find a ton. It looks great and I think eventually will be used, but for now, I am a little worried about putting it into my new car.

James hit the nail on the head. Try to drive in a way so you do not have to touch your brakes.

to the best of my knowledge, "water" does not create acid, minerals in the water create the acid and at various times of the year it can increase or decrease.

just a thought, even as a combustable product, it may always return to it's original state and I would think after a few years contaminate the internal components, by continually heating the minerals contained in water.

ML, seems to have a handle on it, but just in case anyone forgot - during the last gas crunch, we were forced to drive 55 - it created a surplus of fuel in a rather short period of time. The difference today, is the large number of SUV's on the road, which consume alot of fuel no matter how you drive.

I think you have a couple of dubious facts there. The speed limit went to 55, but that had little effect on how fast people drove their cars. It merely ingrained the idea that one need obey the law when one thinks they may get caught into every child.

Acid is a result of Hydrogen ions being resent. To be a source of acid, Hydrogen must be present in the molecule. Do you not believe water contains Hydrogen?

Those considering such a device might want to exercise a bit of rational thought. If it were truly such a great idea, wouldn't every car dealer with gas guzzling SUVs on their lot be slapping one under the hood to move the products off the lot? You think Ford and GM would not make such a thing standard equipment in a heartbeat?

didn't say that, but the minerals in the water when changed to a "gas/vapor" stage, I believe produce the acid your speaking of....no ?? you are challening a 50+ year old brain here, lets not test the old noodle to much....lots of history and I can't member everythang; chemistry was not a highlight of those school dazz
